Misha Maslennikov.

I have a thing for photography (by way) of Russia. This began not very long ago with an attachment to Olya Ivanova‘s portraits and now, thanks to the НОСТАЛЬГИЯ tumblr, I’m a fan of Misha Maslennikov too. Especially his peeks into the world of the young girls and their bored faces. Traveling in Northern Russia in 2002, his work focuses on “single expeditions to the places difficult of access, visiting and co-operation with cenobites of active monasteries, sketes, with keepers of ancient temples, pogosts, studying the way of life of modern hermits, anchorites, real intercourse and contacts with backwoodsmen.”

And this one, because I love it.
