Today my mother received her Masters of Public Health.
I AM VERY PROUD.

This lady paid her own way, finished her degree quickly, and worked full time during the entire process. Um, that’s impressive. Did I mention she also volunteers for the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance? Well she does that too, among other community involvements. She’s a fantastic person and the work she is doing with organ donation is powerful and important. Health disparities are real, people dying waiting for organs–that’s a real big fucking problem. We need creative, intelligent, dedicated, loving people to help reform and inform. I know my mother is all of these things. Congratulations, mamabear.
