jessy price.

I happened across Price’s work
while perusing the-shall-not-be-named social networking site.
And how lucky & happy I am that I did.
I have wondered if it would be possible to include myself in the very personal lives of strangers for just a day or night, to photograph them candidly and lovingly. I think about asking people on the bus, in the grocery store, at the park, if they’ll open a part of their life for that sort of project. I’ve considered posting an ad on craigslist but fear strikes me down, as it probably should. Hopefully this could be an exchange somehow, a shared experience, and not too voyeuristic. Maybe soon…ish.

So can see why I’d then be drawn to Jessy Price’s work with Rick & Joe:

I love these. For me photographs like these are about filling in the context, gazing, and speculating… it’s a rich experience. I don’t know how all people relate to photos but I’m sure they do.

Visit the artist’s site here,
he has a diverse collection and I intend to post more soon.
